GRUPPI (che hanno approfondito il tema "Trasporti e ambiente")

Innovative Mobility Research (IMR) is a group of researchers whose projects explore and evaluate innovative applications of new technologies, policies, and evaluation tools that seek to simultaneously expand and enhance the available transportation choices; better manage demand for transportation services; and improve the environment. IMR designs research projects and conducts evaluations throughout California, the U.S., and internationally. It is based at the Transportation Sustainability Research Center (TSRC) at the University of California, Berkeley. (Il gruppo è diretto da Susan Shaheen).

Following an approach directly stemming from Science and Technology Studies, his PhD thesis “The city as an experiment: the case of Vélib' in Paris” (co-supervised by Antoine Hennion and Madeleine Akrich) aims at exploring the various socio-spatial practices composing the infrastructure of the public bicycle sharing system in Paris. The objective was to describe the “motionless of mobility”, namely the knowledge, techniques and activities which not only circulate in the city but shape it and produce it".
